#12 Nachyn Mongush (RUS) avenged his loss from the 2024 Russian Nationals to 2024 Russian Nationals silver medalist #11 Lev Pavlov (RUS) to win the Ivan Yarygin Memorial. Bronze medalists at the Yarygin were Yunus Yavbatirov (RUS) and Artur Chebodaev (RUS). With the removal of #2 Stevan Micic (SRB) and #7 Zelimkhan Abakarov (ALB) pushing everyone up two spots, #12 Nachyn Mongush (RUS) moves up four spots to #8 for his win over #10 Lev Pavlov (RUS) while 2021 61 KG U23 world silver medalist Artur Chebodaev (RUS) returns to the rankings at #14 for beating 2021 57 KG Senior World Rep Abubakr Mutaliev (RUS) for bronze at the Yarygin.
2024 U23 World bronze medalist Yunus Yavbatirov (RUS) enters the rankings at #19 for beating #20 Akhmed Kumidov (RUS) for bronze at the Yarygin after Kumidov had earned himself the #20 spot in the rankings for beating Paris Olympian Roman Bravo Young (MEX) in the Yarygin quarterfinals.

#5 Abasgadzhi Magomedov (RUS) moved back up to 65 KG where he was the 2024 Senior Russian Nationals runner-up and failed to place at the Yarygin after a loss in the round of 16 to #15 Dalgat Abdulkadyrov (RUS) and is currently ranked #19 at 65 KG. #3 Zavur Uguev (RUS) won the Yarygin over #5 Muslim Mekhtikhanov (RUS) with Anzor Mazhidov (RUS) and Alexander Avelov (RUS) taking bronze. Anzor Mazhidov (RUS) debuts in the rankings at #6 for beating #6 Chermen Tavitov (RUS) for bronze at the Yarygin. Alexander Avelov (RUS) debuts in the rankings at #7 for beating #8 Kezhik Mongush (RUS) and #14 Akhmed Zubairov (RUS) at the Yarygin on his way taking bronze.
Aryan Tyutrin (BLR) won Belarusian Nationals. Nahshon Garrett (USA) won the Henri Deglane Grand Prix over Arman Eloyan (FRA) with Killian Delaney (USA) taking bronze. #18 Daton Fix (USA) won the Dan Kolov Memorial over Devan Turner (USA) with Ceyhun Allakhverdiev (AZE) and Razvan Kovacs (ROU) taking bronze. #17 Nahshon Garrett (USA) is dropped from the rankings due to his loss to #20 Ceyhun Allakhverdiev (AZE) while Devan Turner (USA) debuts in the rankings at #19 for beating #20 Ceyhun Allakhverdiev (AZE) to make the finals of the Dan Kolov.

#6 Ibragim Ibragimov (RUS) won the Yarygin over #10 Ramazan Ferzaliev (RUS) with Chayan Mongush (RUS) and Aripgadzhi Abdulaev (RUS) taking bronze. #5 (61) Abasgadzhi Magomedov (RUS) returned to the 65 KG rankings where he took silver at the 2024 Senior Russian Nationals (beating #6 Ibragim Ibragimov in the semis) but failed to place at the Yarygin after a loss in the round of 16 to #11 Dalgat Abdulkadyrov (RUS).
#11 Dalgat Abdulkadyrov (RUS) lost in the quarterfinals to eventual bronze medalist Aripgadzhi Abdulaev (RUS) and when you couple that with Magomedov’s loss in November 2024 to #12 Eldar Akhmadudinov (RUS) at the Shamil Umakhanov Memorial, his rank drops considerably upon his return to 65 KG down to #19 behind #18 Eldar Akhmadudinov who beat Magomedov in November at the Shamil Umakhanov Memorial. #10 Ramazan Ferzaliev (RUS), #11 Dalgat Abdulkadyrov (RUS), and #12 Eldar Akhmadudinov (RUS) were dropped down to #13, #15, and #18. Ferzaliev’s drop was due to Ferzaliev not having as great of an outright win (beating guys who beat guys who beat Magomedov, see November 2024 Shamil Umakhanov Grand Prix, beating Dalgat Abdulkadyrov in the finals who beat Eldar Akhmadudinov in semis, who beat Abasgadzi Magomedov in quarters) along with #12 Abbas Ebrahim (IRI) having a better outright win (2020 Olympic runner-up Haji Aliev at the 2024 Budapest Grand Prix) then Ferzaliev. #11 Dalgat Abdulkadyrov (RUS) drops to #15 due to his head to head quarterfinal loss to #14 Aripgadzhi Abdulaev (RUS) at the Yarygin. #12 Eldar Akhmadudinov (RUS) drops to #18 due to his loss to #17 Adam Arkhiev (RUS) in repechage and Arkhiev’s loss to #16 Chayan Mongush (RUS) in the Yarygin bronze medal match.

Ayub Musaev (BEL) won the Henri Deglane Grand Prix over 2022 57 KG Senior World Champion Zelimkhan Abakarov (ALB) with Peiman Biabani (CAN) and Khamzat Arsamerzouev (FRA) taking bronze. Mikyay Naim (BUL) won the Dan Kolov Memorial over Murad Hagverdiev (AZE) with Erik Arushanian (UKR) and Gigi Kurkhuli (GEO) taking bronze.

#15 (74) David Baev (RUS) made his successful return to 70 KG with a Yarygin title over Konstantin Kaprynov (RUS) to take the #1 spot in the 70 KG rankings. Bronze medalists at the Yarygin were #3 Magomed-Emi Eltemirov (RUS) and #9 Kurban Shiraev (RUS). There were a multitude of changes due to the Yarygin with the largest being David Baev (RUS) as the new king of the weight (wins over #2 Nurkhoza Kaipanov, #4 Magomed-Emi Eltemirov, #7 Konstantin Kaprynov, #9 Kurban Shiraev, #12 Evgheni Zherbaev, and #13 Zagir Shakhiev) with the next biggest one being the return of Yarygin runner-up Konstantin Kaprynov (RUS) to the top ten for beating #9 Kurban Shiraev (RUS) in the Yarygin quarterfinals to go along with a past win over Shiraev from the 2023 Commonwealth Cup along with wins over #5 (74) Aznaur Tavaev (RUS), two-time Russian Nationals champion Israil Kasumov (RUS), 2024 74 KG Russian Nationals champion #12 (74) Anzor Zakuev (RUS) and #18 Kanan Heybatov (AZE); Kaprynov fell out of the rankings due to unranked losses throughout the 2023 and 2024 season and moving up to 74 KG.
Up next is the departure of 2024 Senior World bronze medalist #5 Inalbek Sheriev (RUS) up to 74 KG where he failed to place at the Yarygin after a loss in the round of 16 to #15 (74) Timur Bizhoev (RUS) and has been removed from the rankings. Next at 70 KG from the Yarygin has to do with the trio of #10 Aisen Potapov (RUS), #11 Alan Kudzoev (RUS), and #12 Evgheni Zherbaev (RUS). Unranked Aisen Potapov (RUS) takes the #10 spot in the rankings for beating #20 Alan Kudzoev (RUS) in the quarterfinals after Kudzoev had upset 2023 Yarygin and Russian Nationals champion #18 (74) Evgheni Zherbaev (RUS) in the round of 16. Aisen Potapov takes the #10 spot behind #9 Kurban Shiraev, who he lost to for bronze, while #20 Alan Kudzoev (RUS) takes the #11 spot for beating #12 Evgheni Zherbaev (RUS) in the round of 16. Zherbaev has been hit or miss in his return from injury compared to the dominant form he showed in 2023 where he dominated his way through the Yarygin and Russian Nationals where he twice beat former #5 Inalbek Sheriev (RUS).
Zagir Shakhiev (RUS) takes the #19 spot for beating #20 Abdurakhman Dalgatov (RUS) who earned the #20 spot for upsetting 2024 Ali Aliev Memorial Champion formerly seventeenth ranked Umar Umarov (RUS) in his qualification round match at the Yarygin. 2023 70 KG Senior World silver medalist #8 Amir Mohammad Yazdani (IRI) moved up to 74 KG for the Yarygin where he took bronze and is currently ranked #17 at the weight.
Georgi Kaliev (BLR) won Belarusian Nationals. Ibragim Veliev (BEL) won the Henri Deglane Grand Prix over Yahya Thomas (USA) with Muhammad Abdurachmanov (BEL) and Tobias Portmann (SWI) taking bronze. Will Lewan (USA) won the Dan Kolov Memorial over Kaloyan Atanasov (BUL) with Benjamin Boejthe (ROU) and Mihail Georgiev (BUL) taking bronze.

Much of the upwards movement at 74 KG is due to #6 Magomedkhabib Kadimagomedov (BLR) up to 86 KG, #2 Razambek Zhamalov (UZB) due to injury, #15 David Baev (RUS) going down to 70 KG, and #18 Evgheni Zherbaev (RUS) going back down to 70 KG.
Ramazan Muradov (RUS) is in the rankings at #18 for beating #19 Alan Dziraev (RUS) in the quarterfinals of the Yarygin after Dziraev earned his #19 spot in the rankings with a win over two-time Russian Nationals champion Israil Kasumov (RUS). #5 (70) Inalbek Sheriev (RUS) takes the #17 spot in the rankings after his round of 16 loss to #15 Timur Bizhoev (RUS) due to his achievements at 70 KG.
Nikita Dmitriev (BLR) won Belarusian Nationals. #4 Chermen Valiev (ALB) bounced back from a loss earlier in the January to #5 (79) Murad Kuramagomedov (HUN) in the German Wrestling League with a title at the Henri Deglane Grand Prix over Quincy Monday (USA). Adam Thomson (CAN) earned the bronze medal at the Henri Deglane Grand Prix. Quincy Monday (USA) bounced back from his finals loss at the Henri Deglane Grand Prix with a title at the Dan Kolov Memorial over Ivan Kusyak (UKR) with Presiyan Mihov (BUL) and 2023 70 KG Senior World bronze medalist Ramazan Ramazanov (BUL) taking bronze.
