#1 Zavur Uguev won his second world title with a 13-3 win over returning world medalist #2 (INT) Suleyman Atli of Turkey to hold onto his top spot in the international and domestic rankings. Zhargal Damdinov won the Korkin with a 9-4 win over Ziolkowski champ #2 Aryan Tyutrin to debut in the rankings at number five. Abubakar Mutaliev stunned 2017 world runner-up Thomas Gilman (USA) and Russian nationals bronze medalist #5 Khasanguseynov Badrudinov to win the Intercontinental Cup and debut in the domestic rankings at number six. #4 Muslim Sadulaev won the Khizri Shikhsaidov tournament over Dzhabrail Gairbekov where Salikh Muradov also finished bronze. #10 Azamat Tuskaev rebounded from a controversial 3-2 loss to #6 Khasanguseynov Badrudinov in the quarters of the intercontinental cup with a 6-0 win over Zach Sanders in the third place match to earn bronze. Russian nationals champion #3 Ramiz Gamzatov will be the U-23 world rep.

#1 Magomedrasul Idrisov was the world championships runner-up to #1(INT) Beka Lomtadze of Georgia. #2 Ramazan Ferzaliev moved up to 65 KG where he won the Intercontinental Cup with a 10-0 tech fall win over Evan Henderson (USA), Ferzaliev is currently ranked sixth at the weight. #4 Alexander Bogomoev won the Korkin with a 10-1 win over Kazuya Koyanagi (JPN). #9 Ibragim Abdurakhmanov won the Intercontinental Cup with a comeback win in the finals of Rustam Karakhanov and made the finals via wins over #6 Artem Gebek and #7 Abasgadzhi Magomedov to move up four spots in the rankings to number five. Rustam Karakhanov debuts in the rankings at number nine after registering a runner-up finish at the Intercontinental Cup. Russian nationals bronze medalist #3 Dinislam Takhtarov will be the U-23 world rep.

#1 Gadzhimurad Rashidov won the world championships with a resounding 11-0 tech fall win over #14(INT) Daulet Niyazbekov (KAZ) in the finals. #2(61) Ramazan Ferzaliev made the move up 65 KG where he tech falled Evan Henderson (USA) 10-0 in the finals of the Intercontinental Cup to debut in the rankings at #6. #6 Kurban Shiraev lost in the semifinals of the Yuri Gusov tournament that acted as the deciding tournament for Russia’s U-23 world team. Winning the tournament was Ruslan Zhendaev who debuts in the rankings at #7 for his title. Shiraev rebounded from failing to win the Gusov by winning the Khizri Shikhsaidov tournament over Yusup Abdusalamov tournament champ Gadzhimurad Omarov but would then go up to 70 KG to the Intercontinental Cup where he would fail to place after losing first round 4-2 to #7 (70) Abdullagadzhi Magomedov and because of that he is no longer ranked. Viktor Rassadin won the Korkin 12-8 over 2016 Yarygin champ Nyurgun Skryabin (BLR) and avenged a loss from last year to 3x European champ Cengizhan Erdogan (TUR) to return to the rankings at #10. 2018 Russian nationals bronze medalist Dasha Sharastepanov upset 3x world champ #4(INT) Haji Aliyev (AZE) off a last second exposure but lost next round to Erdogan but cannot be ranked as he has a bad unranked loss at nationals to Akhmed Kasumov.

#1 David Baev won the world championships with a 14-2 tech fall win over #13 (INT) Nurkhoza Kaipanov of Kazakhstan in the finals. #2 Razambek Zhamalov moved up to 74 KG where he won the Yuri Gusov tournament and qualified for the U-23 world championships at 74 KG with wins over #5(74) Timur Bizhoev and #7 Nikita Suchkov, Zhamalov is currently ranked fifth at the weight. 2x Russian nationals bronze medalist #2 Evgeni Zherbaev tech falled #8 Arpak Sat in the Korkin finals to win his second consecutive Korkin tournament title. #3 Cherman Valiev has been selected as the U-23 world rep. #8(65) Aznaur Tavaev moved up and won the Intercontinental Cup with a tech fall win over 2016 65 KG Olympic fifth place finisher Frank Molinaro (USA). Tavaev debuts at number five in the rankings because to go along with his win over Molinaro he has wins over #8 Islam Dudaev and Artur Badtiev from his title at the Stepan Sargsyan tournament in July and a win last year over #2(65) Ismail Musukaev (HUN) at the Alans.

#1 Zaurbek Sidakov won his second consecutive world title with a 5-3 win over #3 (INT) Frank Chamizo (ITA), #6 Magomedkhabib Kadimagomedov took a loss in the DRL to Akhmet Shokumov, but doesn’t fall in the rankings from it. #2(70) Razambek Zhamalov made the move up and won the Yuri Gusov tournament with wins over #7 Nikita Suchkov and #5 Timur Bizhoev to debut in the rankings at #5. Magomed Khizriev won the Intercontinental Cup over 2018 Ali Aliev bronze medalist Magomed Dibirgadzhiev. Nadirbek Khizriev upset #7(INT) Khadzhimurad Gadzhiev and #7 Nikita Suchkov to debut in the ranki ngs at #8 and drop Suchkov down three spots to #10. #6 Timur Bizhoev beat #9 Akhmed Usmanov and #10 Magomed Dibirgadzhiev at the Gusov. Usmanov and Dibirgadziev were dropped from the rankings with the addition of Zhamalov and Khizriev along with the fact that Usmanov moved up to 79 KG for the Intercontinental Cup where he lost 4-3 to Magomedali Musaliev.

#1 Gadzhi Nabiev won a bronze medal at the world championships with a win over #8 (INT) Rashid Kurbanov (UZB). #1 Magomed Ramazanov moved back up to 86 KG where he lost 9-7 to Magomedsharif Biikaev at the Intercontinental Cup and failed to place., bumping Nabiev up to #1 Ramazanov is currently ranked 7th at 86 KG. #2 Atsamaz Sanakoev won the Intercontinental Cup with a tech fall win over #19(74) Isaiah Martinez (USA). Tazhidin Akaev rejoins the rankings at #9 after winning the Korkin over Abubakar Abakarov (AZE) who earlier in the tournament had defeated #10 Amkhad Tashukhadzhiev. #8 Radik Valiev won the Yuri Gusov tournament and will represent Russia at the U-23 world championships.

#1 Artur Naifonov earned a world bronze medal with a 6-0 win over #7(INT) Myles Amine (SMR). #4 Arsenali Musalaliev won the Khizri Shikhsaidov over Javrail Shapiev (UZB) but was runner-up at the Intercontinental Cup to Azamat Dauletbekov (KAZ). Musalaliev had a strong domestic win at the intercontinental cup over #6 Magomedsharif Biikaev who was fresh off a win over #2(79) Magomed Ramazanov. Biikaev debuts at #6 in the rankings off the strength of a win over #2(79) Magomed Ramazanov at the Intercontinental Cup. Ramazanov, a Russian nationals bronze medalist in July at 86 KG, slots in at number seven upon his return to 86 KG. Azamat Zakuev won the Yuri Gusov tournament over #8 Alexander Kondratov to get the chance to represent Russia at the U-23 world championships.

#1 Alikhan Zhabrailov won bronze medal at the world championships with a win over Georgi Rubaev (MDA). #2 Magomed Kurbanov moved up to 97 KG where he won Khizri Shikhsaidov tournament and is currently ranked sixth at the weight. #4 Anzor Urishev lost in the finals of the Korkin to #10 Guram Chertkoev but because so many guys moved up to 97 KG, he doesn’t really get affected and in fact moves up one spot due to Kurbanov and Gazzaev leaving the weight and Chertkoev climbs up six spots in the rankings to #4. #2 Batyrbek Tsakulov won the Yuri Gusov tournament and will be Russia’s U-23 world rep. Tsakulov was a Russian national champ last year and bronze this year and represented Russia at the 2018 senior world championships where he finished seventh. Gadzhimagomed Nazhmudinov was a runner-up at the Intercontinental Cup to world fifth place finisher Georgi Rubaev (MDA), which allows for him to debut at #7 off the strength of wins over #8 Muslim Magomedov and #9 Tazhudin Mukhtarov. Ramadan Sabanov debuts in the rankings at #10 after taking bronze at the Intercontinental Cup with a win over former #9 Radik Nartikoev.

#1 Abdulrashid Sadulaev won his fifth World/Olympic title with a 4-0 win over #2 (INT) Sharif Sharifov (AZE). #2(92) Magomed Kurbanov made the move up and won the Khizri Shikhsaidov tournament and debuts at #6, #5 Rasul Magomedov won the Intercontinental Cup and Yusup Abdusalamov tournament along with wrestling at heavyweight for the Khizri Shikhsaidov tournament. #3 Igor Ovsyannikov won the Korkin. #8 Magomedkhan Magomedov won the Yuri Gusov tournament and the U-23 world team spot will be decided between him and #4 Shamil Musaev.

Injury replacement #4 Alan Khugaev failed to place at world’s as he lost to eventual bronze medalist #6 Oleksandr Khotsianivski of Ukraine. Batras Gazzaev made the move up from 92 KG where he won the Intercontinental Cup with wins over #4 Alan Khugaev and #7 Magomedgadzhi Nurasulov to debut in the heavyweight rankings at #3. Shamil Sharipov made his presence felt at the Khizri Shikhsaidov tournament as he pinned 2017 U-23 world silver medalist Magomedamin Dibirov in the finals and upset #5(97) Rasul Magomedov and #6 Zelimkhan Khizriev as well. Sharipov followed up his title at the Shikhsaidov with a bronze medal performance at the Intercontinental Cup where he lost to eventual runner-up #7 Magomedgadzhi Nurasulov.

All members of the top five won world titles, Razambek Zhamalov jumped up seven spots in the rankings after his impressive showing in his move up to 74 KG where he took out #18 Timur Bizhoev and #23 Nikita Suchkov to go along with his wins over #4 David Baev and #21 Cherman Valiev. #13 Artur Naifonov got world bronze at 86 KG, #17 Magomedrasul Idrisov silver at 61 KG, and #19 Alikhan Zhabrailov got bronze at 92 KG. Cherman Valiev enters the rankings at #20 off of the strength of his past wins over #4 David Baev, #21 Evgeni Zherbaev and #22 Magomedkhabib Kadimagomedov. Kadimagomedov suffered an upset loss to Akhmet Shokhumov at the DRL but his win over #7 Khetik Tsabolov allows for him to stay in the P4P.
