#4 Akhmed Idrisov won Russian Nationals over #10 Lev Pavlov with #2 Musa Mekhtikhanov and #5 Ramiz Gamzatov taking bronze. #10 Lev Pavlov moves up seven spots in the rankings to #3 for victories over #2 Musa Mekhtikhanov and #6 Nachyn Mongush to make the Russian National Finals. #4 Akhmed Idrisov moves up two spots to #2 for beating #3 Lev Pavlov in the Russian National Finals along with the fact that 2023 Russian National runner-up #3 Artem Gobaev moving up to 61 KG where he took bronze. Gobaev was ranked third ahead of Idrisov’s fourth because of a head to head win over Idrisov at 2023 Russian Nationals. Khabib Mekhtikhanov enters the rankings at #9 for beating 2021 61 KG U23 World Runner-up #10 Artur Chebodaev in the round of 16.
JUNE RANKINGS:
#2 (61) Artem Gobaev won the U23 European Championships over Muhammet Karavus (TUR) with Vladyslav Abramov (UKR) and Luka Gvinjilia (GEO) taking bronze. With Gobaev’s return to 57 KG, he takes the number two spot based off his 2023 Russian Nationals runner-up finish where he beat #3 Akhmed Idrisov and #7 Nachyn Mongush.

Uguev does not move up to the 61 KG rankings as he is Russia’s confirmed Olympic rep for 57 KG. #3 (57) Artem Gobaev (RUS) takes the #2 spot at 61 KG after taking bronze at Russian Nationals after beating #3 Abubakar Mutaliev and #6 Tamerlan Karaev to take bronze. Abubakar Mutaliev takes the #3 spot in the rankings for beating #4 Kezhik Mongush in the qualification round. Bair Bayanduev debuts in the rankings at #7 for beating #1 Chermen Tavitov in the round of 16 before losing in the quarterfinals to Tamerlan Karaev. Tamerlan Karaev takes the #6 spot for taking fifth at Russian Nationals and beating #7 Bair Bayanduev in the quarterfinals. #1 Chermen Tavitov falls seven spots to #8 for his loss to Bair Bayanduev at Russian Nationals
JUNE RANKINGS
Reigning U23 World Champion #4 Bashir Magomedov won the U23 European Championships over #20 (INT) Nikita Abramov (UKR) with #18 (INT) Emre Kural (TUR) and Nuraddin Novruzov (AZE) taking bronze. #2 Artem Gobaev moved back down to 57 KG where he is ranked 2nd behind #1 Zavur Uguev who he finished as runner-up to at 2023 Russian Nationals. Because of Gobaev’s removal, everyone below #2 got a bump up. Viktor Yakovlev got in at #8 for taking bronze at Russian Nationals where he beat Pavlov Yakov in the bronze medal match after Yakov had beaten Rustam Zhilyasov in the quarterfinals after Zhilyasov had upset two-time Russian Nationals bronze medalist Dinislam Takhtarov.
